Jorge Armando's story

Jorge Armando is 33-years old. He is married and lives in his family's home with his father and children in Cayaltí District. The community is in an area with a varied climate. The people there make their livings in agriculture, commerce and raising livestock. The district is located in Chiclayo Province, which is a part of the Lambayeque Region on Perú's northern coast.

Jorge offers transportation services on his "mototaxi" (motorcycle taxi). He transports passengers to the areas surrounding his district. In addition, he and his wife earn their living raising and selling guinea pigs.

Jorge has requested a loan of 1 000 nuevos soles (USD $375) for the purchase of a larger quantity of animals and items like wire and bamboo to enclose his animal pen. This will allow him to keep his animals in better conditions.
