Jesudegbe 1 Group's story

JESUDEGBE 1 is a group of fifteen persons whose members reside in the same district and who have formed a tontine together. The group representative, Béatrice (with her hand raised in the photo), is 54 years old and married to a farmer named Ahouansè. Béatrice did not attend school. She has four children, not all in school, but two are still in the couple’s care. Béatrice lives together with her children and husband. She ensures along with him that the different household expenses are covered.

For twelve years, Béatrice has been doing commerce in vegetable oil and palm oil, out of her home. At the same time she also sells beignets. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

This is the first time that Béatrice and the other members of the group JESUDEGBE 1 have requested financial support from ALIDé with the aim of bolstering their working capital and their businesses and responding better to the requirements of their customers.

In this group: Béatrice, Adjimon Angèle, Reine, Alice, Elisabeth, Julienne, Diane, Pauline, Sidonie, Honorine, Lucienne, Marie, Monique, Alice, Cécile
