José Santos
Jose is 41 years old, and is a farmer who only attended school until the second grade. He lives with his spouse who is a stay-at-home parent. They have four children who all attend school. Jose has worked in agriculture since he was 15, having learned this work from his father. He also works as a bricklayer. When he gets a bricklaying job he looks for people to help him with the farming and goes to work, because bricklaying pays more, and he can then pay people to help him farm. His work place is located 20 minutes away, and he travels there by bicycle, working from 6 until 1 in the afternoon. The loan that he is requesting though CREDICAMPO is to buy 4 bags of manure that his field needs, so that he can cultivate the 14,000 square meters that he has seeded. He will also buy a liter of pesticide to combat pests that are afflicting his corn. This will help a great deal, because with the money he can buy fertilizer that is good for this kind of pest. Jose's dream is to continue working the land so that his children will have food at home. He also wants to help them to go to school so that they can be educated, because he knows that this will help them a lot. He knows that this will take a great deal of work and effort.
