Omega's story

Omega is a 25-year-old widow with one child living in the Chikomba East District of Zimbabwe. As a single parent, she works hard to support her child and dreams of improving their quality of life in the rural village. To provide financial support, Omega operates a small grocery store selling sugar, flour, rice and cooking oil. She loves her business and dreams of seeing it grow. Omega is seeking a Kiva loan so that she can make bulk purchases of soap, rice, cooking oil, flour and other products. With the profits, she intends to improve the quality of life for herself and her child. On top of running her business, Omega spends her free time volunteering as a Learner Guide, working with schools to improve young people’s well-being by teaching them life skills.
