Gharam 26 Group's story

Gharam 26 is a group which comprises six women from Taiz, Yemen. They are requesting a loan of 300,000 YER from AMB.

Jalela is the leader of the group. She is a 31-year-old married woman with three children. Her oldest child is nine years old and the youngest one is only one year old. She is an uneducated woman and works as a housewife. Her husband is the sole breadwinner of the family. His income is not enough to cover all the expenses of the family. The house where Jalela and her husband live lacks many home appliances, and Jalela wants to improve the condition of the house. Unfortunately, she doesn't have enough money to do that. For this reason, Jalela is requesting a loan of 50,000 YER from AMB in order to purchase home appliances for the house.

Jalela looks forward to renovating her house from the inside and furnishing it. Also, she plans to send her children to a private school, as well as open a saving account in AMB.
