Chhreb's Group's story

A villager of Sithor Kandal district of Prey Veng province, Chhreb is a 46-year-old mother of two children. The primary source of income for her family comes from a Krama weaving business, while the secondary source of income is from leasing loud speakers used during religious ceremonies.

Chhreb is the leader of a group of two members. This is the first time either member has requested a microloan from Kiva’s partner VisionFund. The total loan for the group is 1,200,000 KHR, of which 400,000 KHR is Chhreb's portion. She plans to use the loan to renovate her house, buying zinc to be used as walls. She highly believes that her housing condition will be better than before.
