Kamsot's Group's story

A villager from the Banteay Meachey province’s Moungkul Borey district, Kamsot is 27 years old and married. She has two dependent children who are in school.

Kamsot's main source of income is from rice farming. Having been in this business for seven years, she is able to earn a daily income of KHR40,000 to support her family. She saves about KHR20,000 per day for future needs.

This is the eighth loan for Kamsot with Kiva’s partner VisionFund. She is now leading her group. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy fertilizers and pesticides for her farmland.

Kamsot hopes to make more income from her business. She hopes to increase her crop yield to make life better for her family and to occupy a bigger house.
