A loan of $8,800 helped a member to purchase 42 sacks of corn.

Manne Du Ciel B Group's story

This client, Marie Claire, is a merchant and a member of the business collective “Manne du Ciel B”. An entrepreneur, she is 54 years old, a widow, and the mother of seven children, of whom three are in school, and four others are finished with school. This client is a vendor of corn. She has been in this business for ten years. She displays her merchandise at home located on a busy local avenue. She started her business with funds from her husband when he was alive.

This new loan is going to be used to purchase 42 sacks of corn. Thus, she would like to provide schooling, clothing, and food for her children.

In conclusion, she thanks Hekima very much for supporting autonomy among unbanked women entrepreneurs, especially during this critical moment post-conflict in the country’s east. It should be noted that one client is carrying her baby.
