A loan of $350 helped to purchase wheat flour, maize flour, sugar, tea leaves, and salt to sell.

Jumwa's story

Jumwa is a married woman with nine children, six of whom are in school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are school fees and food for the family.

For the past five years, she has operated a shop kiosk business, selling to her neighbors and passersby. She mentioned price fluctuation as her major challenge. She dreams of establishing a wholesale shop in the future.

With the loan, Jumwa wants to purchase wheat flour, maize flour, sugar, tea leaves, and salt to sell. She decided to join Yehu Microfinance Trust to get financial support.
