A loan of $725 helped to pay school tuition fees for her oldest daughter.

Chiem's story

Chiem comes from in Bac Ninh province. In this picture, she was standing behind her daughter in front of her house. Chiem is married and lives in a family of 5 members. She has three children. Besides running a grocery, she is also a carpenter. Her husband is a builder. Her family’s monthly income is 10,000,000 VND.

Chiem is applying a 15,300,000 VND loan through SEDA to pay school tuition fees for her oldest daughter, Thuong. In this picture, Thuong was standing in front of her mother. She is a first year pupil at primary school. Without this loan, Thuong may not be able to pay the tuition fee installment and her parents would have to work harder to support her studies.

Because of her love for children, she is studying to become a preschool teacher. She also hopes to become a useful person who can provide her best for society.

After studying at school, she spends time helping her parents clean house and take care of her sister. She is interested in jumping rope in her free time.
Through this program, Thuong and her mother would like to say that they really appreciate the help of every donor who has contributed to this program. They wish that this program would be expanded, so more pupils would be provided opportunities to go to school and follow their dreams like Thuong does.
