A loan of $3,000 helped a member to purchase wool for knitting school jerseys and to buy school uniforms for resale.

Good Hope Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 64-year-old Elizabeth from Harare. She is married with four children. She also cares for one dependent, her grandchild. Elizabeth runs a manufacturing business producing school wear. The business has been in operation for 11 years. She says the main challenge faced is stiff competition especially on pricing from other players in the industry.

Elizabeth has requested a loan of $750 to purchase wool for knitting school jerseys and to buy school uniforms for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve the general welfare of the family through increased profits. Elizabeth plans to open a uniform shop in the near future. The client is more than grateful to Kiva and Microking for this facility.
