A loan of $1,175 helped a member to buy construction materials to complete the building of her house.

Wahida Group's story

Wahida 22 Mayo is a group that consists of the same members of the first group from Taiz, Yemen. They requested a loan of 250, 000 YER from AMB.

Wahida is the leader of the group. She is a 40-year-old married woman with eight children, living with them in their own house. Their house is uncompleted and it needs renovation from the inside.

Last year the group applied for a first loan from Kiva Lenders. Wahida used the first loan for purchasing construction materials in order to build and renovate her house. The first loan helped Wahida very much to improve the condition of her family through building part of house and renovating it.

After she finished the repayment of the installment of the first loan, Wahida applied for a second loan of 70,000 YER from Kiva Lender in order to complete all the renovation of her house. All the members of the group are very thankful to Kiva lenders for their first loan, and they hope to receive the second loan from Kiva Lenders.
