A loan of $500 helped to buy weed-killers and manure as her corn crops need them in order to develop well.

María Magdalena's story

María is 53 years old and a housewife. She looks after the household chores, waking up very early in order to prepare breakfast for her husband and children to eat and head out to work.

From a young age María has been very interested in farming as, alongside her brothers, she helped their father in his work. María was always helping to plant the corn and to prevent weeks. Now, when María has the opportunity, she accompanies her husband and children to the cornfields.

María needs this loan in order to buy some farming supplies, including weed-killers and manure and the corn crops need them in order to develop well.

María's dream is for her children to continue studying; she wants them not to need for anything. María hopes that her children will learn a profession.
