Angèle's Group's story

This is a group of two persons whose members reside in the same district in Benin. The group representative, Angèle (with her hand raised in the photo), is 50 years old and married to a man named Ademonla. The couple have six children, not all in school but four in their care. Angèle and her husband live together with their children and jointly ensure that the different household expenses are covered.

Angèle did not attend school. For nearly ten years, she has been operating a business selling food (rice, beans) that she cooks in her area. She operates her business with passion enabling her to meet her needs and those of her children. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers, Angèle is requesting a second loan with the other members of her group. This loan will be used by them to respond better to the demands of their customers and to make more profit.
