29-year-old Carmen, who is single, lives with her parents in the Ventanas canton on the province of Los Ríos. She is a member of the Cuidad de Pueblo Viejo solidarity group which is based in the city of Pueblo Viejo. The group is made up of 10 members from the same city who all work in agriculture and livestock breeding. Carmen grows corn and is seeking this loan to buy manure, insecticide, fertiliser, urea and weed killer to help her to grow more crops. She will buy the supplies in Ventanas. Her aim is to grow more crops but she has to face the challenge of transporting them around. In her spare time, she likes to watch the news.
