Mahutondji Group's story

Mahutondji Group is made up of three members who live in the same area. The group's representative, named Sidonie, is the woman raising her hand in the photograph.

Sidonie is 43 years old and a widow. She's the mother of four children, who are all in her care. Some of them attend school. To cover her various expenses, Sidonie has been selling soaps, basins, and various other products for six years through the distribution system.

She gets her supplies in a market in Benin. Eager to satisfy her clientele, and in order to increase her revenue and her income, Sidonie, together with the other members of Mahutondji Group, is seeking a loan from Kiva's partner, ALIDé.

This loan will enable the members of the group to bolster their businesses, expand their clientele, and increase their income.
