A loan of $975 helped to buy plastic goods and groceries.

Lidia's story

Lidia is 40 years old, studied until the third grade, lives with her partner, is the mother of three children (two boys ages 21 and 18, and one 10 year old girl), and lives at Jr. Cuzco Nº 104 in the district and province of Yunguyo – Puno.

For the past four years, she has been a member of the “Wiñay Marca”- Yunguyo Communal Bank. At 18, she and her partner began to sell scrubbers, wastebaskets, buckets, etc. (plastic goods) that she brought from the city of Desagadero. While she was selling plastic goods, she opened a grocery store four years ago.

With this loan of $975, which she will repay in 4 months, she will buy plastic goods and groceries to be sold wholesale and retail.

Her dream is to have a plastic goods store and to see her children study and become professionals.
