A loan of $550 helped buy pigs.

Rosa Isabel's story

Rosa has been a member of the Paradise communal bank for a year. She lives in a community that belongs to the parish of Cumbe in Cuenca, where one can find large livestock farms and romantic, old properties. Rosa is 47 years old, and she is divorced. She has four children, three of which are older; two of those are married and live on their own. Her single son works and helps her economically, and her last, a daughter, is studying in a school in the town. The house they live in is her own.

Rosa has been working as a farmer, and she sells her products and uses them at home as well. She also raises animals like chickens and guinea pigs. This new loan is to buy pigs and increase her stock of animals. Rosa's goal is to have more animals that are of better quality.
