A loan of $1,325 helped to buy agricultural supplies to aid and maintain her coffee crops.

Alba Del Carmen's story

Thanks to her first loan, Alba bought the necessary supplies that helped give her coffee crops excellent protection and assistance - 17 quintals of urea, 15 quintals of 12-24-12 fertilizer, pay for the qualified laborers to clear the underbrush and apply the fertilizer, among other activities. All this produced excellent results at the end of the harvest.

She is very happy and above all thanks GOD for being able to reach her proposed goal, which was to be able to assist her coffee crops through the purchase of agricultural supplies. By doing so, she prevented their contamination with rust and other pests that would have caused her to lose the harvest.

Alba is again requesting a second loan, which will assist the coffee plantation since after the beans were cut, she states the the plants and soil became deteriorated and damaged. She is hoping to again receive the support of the various investors en the Kiva platform so she can continue to work at the only hope for growth and development for her family and children.
