Saiah's story

Saiah lives and works in the area of West Point. West Point is one of the biggest markets in Liberia and is very close to the capital city Monrovia. Saiah did not go to school. She is a widow and has two children 6 and 12 years old, who are currently attending school and living at home.

For over 2 years now, Saiah has been engaged in business to make some money for her living. Saiah is now buying and selling nails, locks, hinges, etc., from a table at the market. She complains that low income is the only problem she is facing for now. She got established in this business by selling for her mother, and also learned this business while selling for her mother. She enjoys making a profit. She will buy more nails, locks, hinges, etc., for her business.

Her dream is to build a house and educate her children.
