The members of the Kankeletigui 1 Group are married women with an average age of 41 and an average of four children each. They all live within polygamous family frameworks in Dambela Commune in Sikasso, the third administrative region of Mali. They are collaborating with the Soro Yiriwaso Microfinance Institution so that they can see through their agricultural activities during the winter period. This will be their seventh loan with Soro Yiriwaso. Their previous loans were all paid back in full. The group's main produce is corn. The group's representative is Rokia, the woman sat in the middle of the first row in the photo. With this loan, she is planning on buying farm inputs and seeds in order to maintain one hectare of land. After the harvest, the produce is sold on a village level as well as at the markets of Sikasso to a customer base made up of both men and women. She is planning on making an average profit of 170,000 FCFA per season. These profits will allow her to pay off her loan and also help her husband with daily living expenses.

Les membres du groupe KANKELETIGUI 1 sont des femmes mariées ayant une moyenne d’âge de 41 ans, 4 enfants et vivant toutes dans des familles polygames à Dembela, dans la 3ème région administrative du Mali : SIKASSO.
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de mener à bien leurs activités agricoles pendant l’hivernage.
Elles sont à leur septième prêt avec l’institution, les prêts passés ont été bien remboursés.
La spéculation cultivée est le maïs avec Rokia A assise au milieu.
Avec son prêt, elle compte acheter des intrants et de semences agricoles pour entretenir 1 hectare.
La production est vendue au niveau du village et à SIKASSO après la récolte à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes.
Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 170.000 francs CFA par campagne.
Ce bénéfice lui permettra de payer son prêt et aussi d’aider son mari dans les dépenses quotidiennes.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients.
