A loan helped buy onions, vegetables and tomatoes for resale.

Rachael's story

Rachael is a widowed woman with four kids, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food for the family and school fees.

Rachael operates a vegetable-selling stall, selling at the market to town dwellers and neighbors. She faces the challenge of the high cost of transportation to her place of operation. She dreams of expanding and establishing a wholesale business in the future.

With the Kshs 20,000 she will buy onions, vegetables and tomatoes for sale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
