Zawadi's story

Zawadi is the married mother of four children, all of whom attend school. She lives in a rental house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.

Zawadi operates a charcoal selling business, selling from home to her village. In addition she sells fish to supplement her income. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business. She dreams of expanding to increase her monthly income.
