A loan of $550 helped tend his coffee crop.

Dixon's story

Dixon is 37 years old, and he is married. He lives with his wife, who is his greatest priority. With his loan, he intends to purchase fertilizers and fungicides, and pay wages for workers tending the coffee. Additionally, he will buy some seedlings in order to replant when the rains begin, so that the plant density in the area will increase, taking advantage of the good soil, climate conditions, and other factors that favor coffee cultivation.

With these improvements to the coffee crops, he hopes to earn a little more, and thus improve the living conditions of his family, and accomplish some goals. This is the first loan that he has received from FUDESUCOR. He has not had other loans with state banks before, but FUDESCOR has made it easier for him to receive the loan; and the interest rate is much lower.
