A loan of $500 helped to buy manure, fertilizer, seeds, and insecticides.

Julio Cesar's story

Julio is married, and has the joy of being a parent to a one year-old girl. He lives with his daughter and wife, who are both financially dependent on him. He works independently farming corn and beans: a trade he learned from his family. His work day starts at 6:00 am and ends at 1:00 pm.

With the onset of the rainy season, he is in the midst of planning for his crops; he will use the loan to buy manure, fertilizer, seeds, and insecticides, which are very useful materials to prepare the soil and avoid the risk of pests. He hopes that this will cause him to increase production, and improve sales and revenues to repay his loan and cover his family’s basic needs.

His dream is to support his daughter so that she can be a professional in the future, and to renovate his home.
