Karugutu Orphans Group's story

Lukia, whose hand is raised in the group photo, is a 54-year-old, widowed woman. She has four children and lives in Bundibugyo, Uganda. She deals in cassava-flour-selling and has been in practice since 1980. She sells to the people around her. Low capital, and competition to invest in a larger cassava-selling business, affect her.She wishes to construct a good residential house for her children, one day. Lukia is for a loan to buy cassava, for grinding into flour to sell.
The extra person in the group is also a group member but didn't take a loan and in accordance to the group policy, whether one is taking a loan or not,you have to guarantee your fellow group members.
