Mrs. Sieng Sok Hai Group's story

Mrs. Seing S. H. is the leader of a village loan group consisting of four people who live in Rumchek Village in Takeo Province, Cambodia.

Mrs. Seing S. H. is a silk weaver. She now has a lot of customers who are waiting to buy her products, so she decided to ask for a loan to buy more silk to weave in order to meet her customers’ demand.

Her husband, Mr. Pov Noeurn, is a traditional musician who has been hired to play music at wedding ceremonies. Mrs. Seing S. H. is 26 years old and the mother of a 5-year-old child.

One of the members in this group has an end-of-term (EoT) loan and the rest have monthly payment loans. The member with the EoT loan is not required to pay aN. principal on the loan until the very end of the loan term. End-of-term (EoT) loans are AMK’s main product because they are the most beneficial to Cambodia’s poor. It allows them to repay portions of the principal whenever they are financially able to.
