A loan of $1,000 helped to buy necessary updated tools for his barber shop.

Mohamad's story

Mohamad is a 19-year-old, single Palestinian refugee, who has been working as a barber for eight years. Mohamad was only 11 years old when he had to quit school and start working as a barber to support his family and cover his living expenses.

In 2012, he established his current business and he is working hard on developing it as much as he can. For this reason, he is requesting a YOUTH loan from Kiva's Field Partner Al Majmoua to buy the necessary updated tools, which will help him improve his business and provide new requested services to his customers.

He hopes to continue developing his business as much as he can to make sure that he can meet most of his customers' needs and requests.
