Clotilde Oliva's story

The Santa Narcisa credit group meets every two weeks in the San Agustín neighborhood of the city of Manta, a city known for its beautiful beaches that are popular with visitors all year round and for being a city of unequaled beauty with many tourist attractions.

In this place lives Clotilde, 56 years old, who is married and from this relationship has three adult children who are independent. Her husband is a merchant.

Clotilde is a woman who likes to work and also to help her husband with the household expenses. She has a general store in her home, and there she sells all sorts of products such as rice, sugar, oil, detergent, legumes, vegetables, and a nationally known brand of ice cream, among other things. She works every day from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and sometimes later. Her husband helps at night, but she is the one who spends almost the entire day there and she likes it because in addition to earning her living, she keeps herself entertained and learns about everything that goes on around her. She has worked in this business for over 10 years and she is very pleased with it.

She will use this credit to stock her store more, she will purchase rice, sugar, oil, detergent and ice cream. She has participated in the credit group since its beginning and she likes it because the loans give her business a boost. Her dream is to continue improving her store.
