A loan of $550 helped to purchase manure, fertilizer, and irrigation costs, among others.

Silvano's story

Silvano lives in the city of Nazca and is a very friendly man and, above all, has a great desire to get ahead. For this, he works with great care as a farmer. At the moment he plants prickly pear cactus, which is currently in a stage of infestation. Additionally, he also grows crops such as onion, prickly pear cactus, potato and garlic. In this way he can have income to be able to help his family get ahead, since this job is his only source of income.

Silvano is very grateful for the support that the Kiva lenders are offering him since, thanks to their help, he will be able to purchase manure, fertilizer, pay the costs of irrigation, among others, which will permit him to have a good harvest and continue working and fighting to be able to help his children get ahead and realize his great dream: to have his own land to plant and improve his quality of life.
