A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase basic staples such as rice, beans, bread, milk and other products.

Glady Del Socorro's story

The rooster's crow wakes Glady, 36 years old, every morning. Along with her husband, she has purchased a general store in the farm they manage. previously, they were just more workers on the farm, however, the previous managers could not continue anymore because of their age, then they were selected to care for and make sales in the general store that was at the place. Without hesitating, they accepted it, since the salary for workers on the farm was not sufficient to pay for the household expenses and their two children's education.

Now they have had their own general store for 6 years and ask for a loan to invest in their merchandise, purchasing basic staples such as rice, beans, bread, milk, and other products that their customers purchase daily. Luckily, Glady doesn't have any competition, so it is going fairly well. In addition, her friendliness makes her customers satisfied. Among her plans are to continue growing in order to finish the construction of a toilet.
