Mwanza is a hardworking and enterprising man. He owns a house, which has neither electricity nor piped water. He is married and has two, school-going children.
Mwanza sells goat meat to various butchers and hotels. He has been in this business for the past three years. He cites seasonality as his major challenge.
With the loan, he wants to purchase more goats for his business. He joined Yehu to boost his business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
