Rabia's Group's story

Rabia baji is the wife of Mr. A. and lives in a historical place named Yadgar in the city of Lahore, Pakistan. She resides in this place since last year. She is the mother of three children: one son and two daughters. Her daughters do household work. Rabia baji has a bookbinding business and her son helps her with the bookbinding. She has been in this business for the last 10 years. She is applying for a loan to buy material (thread, glue, and hard paper) to expand her business.

She is joined in her loan group by several more members. Ishrat baji wants a loan to buy spare parts for vehicles for her spare parts shop. Nosheen baji wants a loan to buy leather to make leather shoes. Nasreen baji wants a loan to buy seasonal fruit to re-sell.

This is a group loan. The loan funds will be distributed among the group members, each of whom will invest in her own business. The members mutually guarantee one another's loans. If one member does not repay, the other members are responsible.
