Bailawo's story

Meet Bailawo, she is 33 years old from Waterloo Western rural in Freetown, Sierra Leone. She is married with three children. In 1999 Bailawo established her retail business. She began her business because she wanted to develop herself and family. She works at the business from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm, six days per week. She says that the main challenge to her business is price inflation and a proper business location.

Bailawo requires a loan in order to purchase cigarettes, drinks and biscuits in order to expand her business. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to change her standard of living and increase her business. In the future, Bailawo plans to expand her business more than even.
