A loan of $500 helped to pay a debt.

María Ester's story

Ester is 21 years old and is a hardworking and enterprising young woman. Every day she gets up to go to work thinking of the well-being of her two daughters. She is partnered and her partner works as a cow milker in a cattle farm in the area. She has a restaurant in the town, in a place she rents in the market. She has worked in this for the last 5 years, she started in this business thanks to the help of a friend who taught her the job. She needs the loan to pay off a debt. She has a loan that she has been paying monthly without any problems, with the earnings from her business, but for health reasons (pregnancy) she had some expenses and got behind. For this reason, the financial institution had given her a limited time to pay off the debt completely but at the moment she doesn't have the full amount. Her primary desire it to be able to work with her own capital. Also, she dreams of getting her own place for her business, since she is now renting and a large part of her earnings go toward paying that.
