Imelda's story

Imelda owns and operates a business producing copra (dried coconut meat) to earn a living. She helps her husband to grow and harvest coconut and to sell copra in town. With the income generated from her farm, her previous loan used for the copra business was successfully repaid.

Imelda also sells woven nipa to earn an extra income. Recently, she took a new loan from GDMPC micro credit to purchase fertilizer, such as manure, to help harvest more produce.

In the future, she wants to make improvements to her house and to improve the general living conditions of her family.
