A loan of $1,850 helped a member to buy a cow.

Mirador De Bombon Group's story

This loan is part of a group of loans called "Credi Yapa" from the Asociación Arariwa. This program allows borrowers with a good credit history to receive a special loan. This loan is in addition to their regular loan, which is currently fundraising on Kiva.

A group of neighbors and friends compose the solidarity bank "El Mirador de Bombon" in the district of Challabamba in the province of Paucartambo.
Ezequiel is 41 years old and lives in the Mirador de Bombon community. Ezequiel is a hardworking person who learned to farm and raise livestock from his parents at a very young age. He is a charismatic and kind man who makes his way in the world by growing potatoes, wheat, barley, and oats. In his free time, Ezequiel also fattens livestock to later sell. So, he is requesting this loan in order to buy a cow.

This communal bank is composed of various people looking for opportunities to get ahead and who work hard in order to provide their children with a better future. The members make a living by farming, raising small animals, and fattening cattle. They are grateful for this opportunity that is being offered to them and pledge to make all of their repayments as scheduled.
