A loan of $1,575 helped a member to buy pigs and concentrated feed for her business.

Gs Emprendedores Group's story

Luisa is 47 years old and lives in the community of La Fortuna in the east of Honduras. She is mother to two children. She works rearing pigs, and has earned her living this way for more than five years. She will use her part of the loan that has been requested to buy pigs and concentrated feed. This will help her to increase her production and so improve her household income, as well as to meet her financial commitments.

Luisa's dream is to give her children a good professional education and to improve their living conditions. The support that the loan gives her will help her to achieve those dreams.

The other members of the group, named Brenda, Pedro, Fidel, Marco and Trinidad, earn their living in agriculture. They are all friends, and have good relationships and communication with each other. Because of this, they have decided to form a group to move forward together.
