A loan of $500 helped to invest in her business, to buy supplies to use for the production of pupusas: cheese, corn, and beans among other things.

Angela's story

Angela, 27, is a hard-working young woman who has overcome difficult situations. She left school to find work that would allow her to generate income for her family, a poor one. She lives with her father. Being a single mother of one son, she has encountered difficult times; but they have not stopped her from trying to achieve her dreams.

Her wish is to always have the means to be able to help her father who is already old and finds it difficult to support himself. In addition, she wants to give her all to her young son so that he may grow up healthy and in favorable conditions.

This young woman needs the loan to invest in her business, to buy supplies for the production of pupusas; cheese, corn, and beans among other things. With this, she will try to maintain and improve her business initiative.

For three years, she has been working as a domestic in the house of a woman in town. She works Monday through Saturday and she has to travel every weekend to her house. On her days off, she has a small business selling pupusas.
