Primavera Group's story

Matilde is 55 years old, married, and has 4 kids. She lives with her husband and 3 of her children in Gracias, Lempira. She has always dedicated herself to agriculture where she cultivates coffee with her family, that which she sells pulped and washed in the local market. She is requesting a second loan for 7,000 lempiras to buy fertilizers for the coffee farm in order to have a better harvest.

The communal bank’s name is Primavera. It is comprised of four people who grow basic grains and live in the same area. The total amount of the group loan is for 26,000 lempiras. They will use the loan to provide maintenance to their coffee farms.
