A loan of $650 helped to buy fertilizer for her fields, also to increase her alfalfa planting.

Rosalia's story

Rosalía is 41 years old. She currently lives with her husband, 4 children, and one of her grandchildren. Daily, she takes her herd of cattle to eat directly from the pastures that she has, also growing products native to the area. This rhythm of work is what she has done since her childhood, as she came from a family in agriculture. It is what she inherited from her parents. She has not stopped doing it because she feels very happy. Her harvests are sold directly in the markets in the center of the city of Huancayo. This hard labor is shared by her 9 children, though today only 4 young ones continue to live with her and they are a great help in order to care for her animals and to keep possible thieves away. After fattening her herd, she offers them for sale in the market. Rosalía works because she wants to see her family in better economic positions. She is asking for this loan with which he would be able to buy bags of fertilizer and grow an additional area of alfalfa for her livestock.
