A loan of $1,300 helped to buy corn seeds, compost, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and to hire workers.

Norma Eugenia's story

Norma, 43, is married and has four children, ages 23, 21, 18 and 13, two of which attend school. She has a third grade education and was unable to continue her education because of the war at that time. For 25 years she has been working in agriculture, a trade she learned from her mother, since her father died when she was 12 years old. Norma walks a kilometer to get to work. She also sells products by catalogue. The loan she is requesting through CREDICAMPO is to buy farm supplies such as corn seed, compost, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and to hire workers. This is so she can improve the harvest and increase her income in order to give her family a better quality of life. Norma's goal is to renovate her house, expand her work and give her children an education so they can become professionals.
