Sinoun's story

Sinoun, 49, is a villager from the Moung Russey district of Battambang province. She is married and has been blessed with three kids. Now only two of them are dependent on her and still in school. The main source of her income is growing pineapple, and she supplements her family's income by working for others, for a fee. She has been with this business for 11 years, and it has earned her 36,700 KHR per day.

She is in her third loan cycle with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner). She has completely to paid back her previous loans, and they enabled her to uplift her living conditions better. She is seeking a new loan in order to buy fertilizer for her agribusiness and to pay a fee for plowing. She hopes to improve her standard of living, better than before.
