Katty Yadira's story

The loan group Santa Gema meets every 15 days in the Tarqui neighborhood in the city of Manta which is known for its beautiful beaches that are visited in all seasons. It is also known for being a city of unparalleled beauty with many attractions.
Here lives Katty, 42, whose husband died several years ago. She has two children from this marriage who are 23 and 13 years old. The youngest son is attending school and it is he who still lives with Katty.
Katty is a woman who has tried to work hard to raise her children. She is a saleswoman. She has a place in her home where she sells fish by the pound, water, and other drinks. She used to have a grocery store but had to close it down due to the competition in the town. She chose to start selling these products and she is making good profits that allow her to move ahead and give a good education to her younger son. Now she has been in this business for 5 years and thanks God that her business is good. This loan to to buy fish, water, and sodas. She has been in the loan group for 3 years and likes it because they help her get ahead. Her dream is to give the best to her son.
