Le groupement WANGNIGNIGBE 1 est composé de dix personnes qui résident dans le même quartier. La représentante du groupement, du nom de Nathalie est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Âgée de 34 ans, Nathalie est mariée à un certain Firmin et est mère de quatre enfants. Parmi les enfants, certains sont scolarisés. Le couple vit ensemble avec leurs enfants et subvient ensemble à leurs différents besoins. Afin de faire face à ses charges, Nathalie vend depuis une dizaine d’année, des produits vivriers, des condiments, etc. à son domicile. Nathalie s’approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et pour accroître son chiffre d’affaires et son revenu, Nathalie sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupement WANGNIGNIGBE 1, un premier crédit auprès de ALIDé.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late.
