Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Wangnignigbe 1 Group's story

The WANGNIGNIGBE 1 group is composed of ten people living in the same neighborhood. The representative of the group, Nathalie, can be seen in the photo with her hand raised. Nathalie is 34 years old, married to Firmin, and the mother of four children, several of whom attend school. The couple live together with their children and together, they take care of the family's needs. In order to address these needs, Nathalie has been selling diverse food products and condiments for the past ten years from her home. She stocks up at the market in Benin. In order to satisfy her customers and to increase her sales, Nathalie is asking, alongside the other members of the WANGNIGNIGBE 1 group, her first loan from ALIDE.

In this group: Nathalie, Euphrasie, Evelyne, Akuavi Emma, Louise Agoi, Brigitte, Elisabeth, Marie, Victoire, Mahougnon Monique
