A loan of $1,025 helped a member purchase hair extensions, cosmetic products and cooking pots.

Houefa Group's story

HOUEFA is a group of three persons, all of whom live in the same neighborhood. The representative of the group, Marcelline (seen in the photo with her hand raised) is 35 years old and married to Isidore. The couple have three children, all of whom attend school. In addition to these children, the couple takes care of one other child. Marcelline lives together with these four children and her husband. The couple share the various family expenses. Marcelline has, for nearly ten years, been involved in the sale of various products (hair extensions, cosmetic productions and cooking pots, as well as condiments) from her store. She stocks up at the markets in Benin, Nigeria and Lomé (Togo). This is the second loan that the HOUEFA group is asking for from ALIDE in order to increase their working capital and better respond to customer requests. The first loan was successfully reimbursed.
