A loan of $625 helped a member to pay for plowing fees, to buy seeds, and to pay for labor costs.

Hong's Group's story

Hong, 35, is a villager from the Bovel district of the Battambang province. She is married and has three children. To provide security for her family, rice cropping and paid-working jobs are the only sources of income that she has had. She has been involved in her current business for several years and it earns her about 40,000 KHR. This is not the original loan for Hong with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner). She has fully repaid back her past loan with success and it has enabled her to provide for her children's basic needs. Now, she has teamed up, in a group of two, to get a new loan. As the leader, she will spend her entire loan portion to pay for plowing fees, to buy seeds, and to pay for labor costs. She highly hopes that she can gain a good yield, better than before.
