A loan of $1,925 helped to buy three cows and increase productivity.

Chimnaz's story

Chimnaz is a 47-year-old refugee. She is married and has a daughter and two sons. The family lives in an IDP settlement. Her husband is a laborer and this is the way he earns money for the family but the main source of income is husbandry. She has been breeding and selling cows for 18 years. Her monthly income is 180 AZN and she has a good practice in this field.

Chimnaz breeds cows, fattens them and then sells them for a profitable price at a local bazaar. Additionally she prepares dairy products such as milk, cheese, yoghurt and sour milk. These products are in high demand because people use them every day.

Chimnaz has one cow at the moment and her monthly income doesn’t cover the family’s needs. She applied for 1500 AZN in order to buy three cows and increase productivity and income from husbandry.
