Ahila's story

Ahila is 55 years old and is married with a daughter and three sons. The members of family are refugees and live in an internally displaced people's settlement. Her husband is a taxi driver but the main source of the family’s income is husbandry. She has been breeding cows for 30 years and her monthly income is 120 AZN. Ahila has two cows; she raises and fattens them. Then she makes diary products (butter, milk, cheese, yoghurt) and sells them at the local bazaar. People have high demand for diary products because they are very useful for health. They buy these products every day. Ahila has to repair the cows' stable and buy good corn for cattle. She applied for 1,500 AZN in order to purchase quality fertilizers for grass and increase cattle’s productivity.
