Abed Al- Nokta Group's story

This group is called Abed Al- Nokta. It consists of four women. They all live in traditional and simples families in Sana'a, Yemen. They know one another through friendship and neighborhood connections. They applied for a loan of 160, 000 YER from AMB. Norya is a 32-years- old married woman. She is the leader of the group. Norya lives with her family in their own house. She is an uneducated woman, but she is very dynamic and vigorous. She works as a house wife and her husband is the sole breadwinner of the family. Her husband built his own house, but he couldn't complete it. Most of rooms are not complete and without renovation. Norya decided to support him financially. As a result, Norya is requesting a loan of 40,000 YER from AMB. She will use the loan to purchase cement and bricks in order to complete the building of the house. Norya hopes to build the second floor and renovate it.
